St. Oliver Plunkett Resource Videos
The following videos are offered as resources for Parish reflection.
The first video was produced by Aid to the Church in Need in November 2019 to mark Week of Witness. The video centers on the commission of the Statue commemorating the witness St. Oliver Plunkett gave to the Catholic faith.
It is easy, sometimes, to think that persecution for faith is something that happened in the past but there are many throughout the world that are still persecuted for their belief in the Christian faith and indeed prevented from worshiping freely. During the Covid-19 crisis we have through the social distancing restrictions experienced what it is like to have access to the sacraments taken away from us.
The second video produced by the Pastoral Team in the Archdiocese. It is intended to invoke reflection on what the past few months have been like for you, and your parish community during the Covid-19 restrictions. The emergency has perhaps given us a glimpse of what life might be like in our parishes in the future.
We invite you to reflect on the following questions:
What has this period of separation and isolation changed for you with regard to faith?
Identify one thing we could do as a Diocese to sustain faith as we emerge from lockdown?
How can you and those close to you contribute to the mission of the Church in your parish or pastoral area?
Following that reflection we invite you to send us your thoughts to the following email address: yprarmagh@gmail.com
